The winners of the Miss Earth 2013 Evening Gown Preliminaries Gold – Venezuela Silver – Nepal Bronze – Philippines Venue: Crimson Hotel Grand Ballroom

All of the 87 delegates of the 2013 Miss Earth walked the ramp in their elegant evening gowns in front of select judges and competed for the Top 3 medals. Awarded Bronze is Miss Philippines, Silver went to Miss Nepal and the Gold winner is Miss Venezuela. The  Long Gown Competition was held at the Grand Ballroom of Crimson Hotel in Filinvest City in Alabang.

Miss Earth 2013 Finals will be held in Versailles Palace in Alabang on December 7 and will be beamed LIVE to 35+ countries through STARWORLD.

Miss Kazakhstan Kumis Bazarbayeva Wins Talent Competition at Miss Earth 2013

Miss Asiada Kumis Bazarbayeva is representing Kazakhstan at one of the most prestigious international contest Miss Earth 2013 in the Philippines. The contest's traditional preliminary competitions of swimsuit, national dress, evening gown have already taken place, Tengrinews reports.

The beauty from Venezuela Alyz Henrich became the winner of the evening gown competition. The winners of the national dresses competition are South Africa's Ashanti Mbanga, Vandia Sands from Bahamas, Indonesian Nita Sofiani and Olesya Boslovyak of Russia. The swimsuit competition results have not been unveiled yet.

2013 Oscar Awards Live this Sunday, February 24th

We can all breathe a sigh of relief as out most awaited awards ceremony is nearing. The Oscars Awards has always been on the number one list of to watch awards show. This is a culmination of months and myriad of awards show which started late last year up to early this year with the Golden Globe Awards, Critics Choice and a few others.

The Oscars red carpet would be teeming with well-dressed stars and celebrities wearing the latest fashions, sparkling jewelry and stylish shoes. Watch out for the nominated actors and actresses as they strut they stuff past the carpet. I always look forward to the pre-award shows with the candid interviews and some very interesting bloopers every year. The question of who will commit yet another unforgettable fashion blunder ala Bjork's swan dress would be answered by tomorrow.

So apart from the expected normal stuff of giving out awards, stay tuned to see more of the fun side of the Oscars Awards 2013, scheduled to air February 24th at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles. This would be the debut of host Seth MacFarlane.

Oscar Awards 2013 Performers

The Oscar Awards 2013 are just a few hours away and we all can't wait to see who will bring home the bacon in terms of the major awards including the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress awards. What I look forward to also are the performers for the awards night. These performances are surely very well-prepared.

Number one on the list of performers for the Oscars this Sunday night would be the much talked-about tribute to the James Bond franchise by none other than Dame Shirley Bassey. Adele, who sang the official soundtrack of James Bond's Skyfall, is also expected to perform for all of us. If you can remember, she won a Golden Globe for that song. The cast of Les Miserables including Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russel Crowe and Amanda Segfried would also perform live. The celebration of musicals will include highlights from Chicago, Dreamgirls and Les Misérables. Catherine Zeta-Jones, representing Chicago and Jennifer Hudson performs for Dreamgirls.
