James Franco and Anne Hathaway to Sing and Dance at Oscars 2011

Oscar hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be singing and dancing. In the past years, there have been funny and entertaining routines performed by the Oscar hosts. It is expected that this year's Oscar Awards 2011 hosts will also deliver the goods in terms of singing and dancing.

"There will be some singing and some dancing. We haven't started choreographing that yet or rehearsing that, but there will be some of that." says Franco.

These two younger co-hosts hope to appeal to a younger demographic with this year's Academy Awards event.

Oscars 2011 Red Carpet Extended to 90 Minutes

Every year, movie fans and celebrity aficionados wait with anticipation in what we call the "Superbowl" of movies, the Oscar Awards. Most people enjoy seeing their favorite stars participate in the most prestigious awards ceremony. One of the highlights is the red carpet show arrivals where we could all see celebrities parade down the red carpet in the latest trends, arm candy in tow.

If you’re one of tens of millions who tune-in to the show, you anticipate to find out who's wearing who, with celebrity interviewers excitedly asking stars who or what they're wearing for the big night. Most actress and actresses even go as far as wearing millions of dollars worth of dresses and accessories, enough to merit a full scale security detail.

For the Oscar Awards 2011, the Academy has decided to extend the run time of the pre Oscar, red carpet show from a mere 30 minutes to a full-grown 90 minutes of star-stalking. This means we all get to see all out favorite stars as they head in to the Kodak Theatre, all dressed up and ready to face the music.

Mo'Nique to Announce Oscar Awards 2011 Nominations

Set your calendars for January 25, 2011 as the Nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards will be announced on that date. Singer/actress Mo'Nique and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak will have the honor of unveiling the Oscar Awards 2011 Nominations in 10 of the 24 categories at 8:30AM ET/ 5:30AM PT that Tuesday morning.

Mo'Nique received her first Oscar win last year for her supporting performance in Precious. She also hosts her own late night talk show The Mo'Nique Show, on BET.

Oscar Awards 2011 Presenters

The highlight and culminating event of the awards season, the Oscar Awards 2011, has announced it's first batch of awards presenters. Included in the list are Oscar winners Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock and Marisa Tomei. Berry won Best Actress in the 2001 Oscar "Monster's Ball", Tomei a Best Supporting Actress in 1992 and Bridges and Bullock won Best Actor and Best Actress respectively, in 2010's Oscars for their roles in "Crazy Heart" and "The Blind Side".

The 83rd Oscar Awards which will be presented on February 27, 2011 will also include Oprah Winfrey as one of the presenters. Winfrey was Oscar-nominated for her supporting role in "The Color Purple."

The Oscar Awards 2011 will be co-hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco. This early on, the 2011 Oscar Awards is turning out to be a star-studded affair we wouldn't want to miss.
